After breakfast I visited their animal farm. They have goats, llama and pigs. Their pigs look like boars and are so ugly that they are actually cute.
Most of the day was uneventful and I was deliriously happy to not have to deal with the flies again. I had a lot of trouble finding a place to stay though. I could not find anything before Villach and anything in the city is way too expensive. So I biked out of Villach and found a little tiny sign that pointed out Pansion Zahn. I was very happy to see a sign, but that was the only one. After pushing my bike uphill for about a kilometer I was at a T and needed to choose a direction. No more signs though. It was 5 pm and I was very exhaused and did not want to go on a wild goose chase further up the mountain. I knocked on a door and tried asking the nice couple about the pansion and in what direction it was. The could tell I was exhaused and on the verge of tears so they invited me in while they called to see if there was room. The frau was on sick leave from her job in Vienna, having broken her foot, and made about an hours worth of phone calls to her law office before she could call about the room. Then we visited for over an hour talking about international politics while her husband made a wonderfully huge dinner for me to take to the pansion.
After leaving around 7 pm I had to push my bike another kilometer uphill, asking directions again because there was another T with no signs. By the time I got to Pansion Zahn I had already decided not to like the frau for having only put one sign up and leading poor bicyclers up a 2 km hill. Very pooped and went to bed.
